COMBINED TREFOIL GUILDS of SA
Future Events
Trefoil members, husbands, friends and Guiding friends are invited.
Departing from 2-3 pick up points, we will be exploring some of the coastal
beaches we seldom see along the Gulf.
Starting with morning tea at St Kilda, then we will be visiting the home of the Tramway Museum, St Kilda Mangrove Trail & Interpretative Centre and the Adventure Playground. The 2 km board walk trail provides a wonderful insight into mangrove forests. We will enjoy lunch at St Kilda Beach Hotel, owned by “Own your own restaurant winners”, - previously from the restaurant “Greedy Goose”
Heading home through Two Wells we will visit the new larger Virginia Nursery. As well as a myriad of plants and garden goods, this complex also sells gifts, household goods, fruit and vegetables and pet supplies. There is a café too.
Kev’s Eureka Coach Tours is providing the tour and we have booked a mini bus.
Departure points and times:
9.30am – Big W car park, NW corner, Cross Road and Eaton St, Cumberland Park – (Parking all day available in Eaton S)t.
OR 10am - King William Road, Adelaide, at front of Festival Theatre and near taxi stand (north of pedestrian crossing).
OR Bunnings10., Main North Rd, Salisbury if required
Booking and deposit of $20 required by Wednesday 11th August (Trefoil Planning Meeting).
Balance of $35 required by Tuesday 7th September

CELEBRATING 65 YEARS OF
TREFOIL GUILDS IN SA
The first Trefoil Guild was started on Thinking Day, 1945 for young mothers, Rangers and other non-active members. Former Brownies,
Guides and Rangers were still keen to keep in touch with others and to help in other ways. Adelaide Trefoil Guild was the matriarch of all Trefoil Guilds in Australia.
A booklet “A Brief History of Trefoil Guilds in SA” has been produced and will be launched at the Trefoil Thinking Day Celebrations in February 2010.
