Guide Biscuits
Guide biscuits are a major fundraiser for Girl Guides South Australia and have been around now for more than 40 years.
As well as having lots of fun with their friends, Units by selling Girl Guides biscuits in South Australia have developed leadership and financial skills and confidence in dealing with people.
These delicious biscuits are only available from May to October each year, so keep your eyes open for them in shopping centres and stalls in your local community. By purchasing Guide Biscuits you will be helping to fund local Guide Unit activities, camps and guiding events. Funds raised also go towards training and supporting leaders, purchasing unit supplies and program materials and allows disadvantaged girls to enjoy Guiding.
Guide Biscuits come in three delicious varieties - plain, chocolate coated and new choc mini’s- all priced at $3.50 per packet
Attention Units and Districts: Please be careful when opening the boxes as the design has changed this year! The biscuits are now packed into a design all ready to go on display for you!
To purchase Girl Guide Biscuits simply:
- Ask your local Guides where you can buy biscuits 
- Contact Guide House, tel (08) 8418 0900, for contact with the Guide Unit supplier nearest to you
- Drop into Guide House at 63 Beulah Road, Norwood
- Visit your local Cheap as Chips Store,throughout June/July or one of the other businesses listed below

Where does the money go?
- By buying Guide Biscuits you’re supporting girls in your community. It will help fund local activities, camps and Guiding events. You are also enabling Guides to buy Unit supplies and program materials and support disadvantaged girls to enjoy Guiding. The money also helps to train and support our Leaders all of whom are volunteers. Some of the money also goes to pay the manufacturers and support the promotion of biscuits and Guiding, to run trainings and workshops for Leaders, to maintain Guide properties and help deliver Guiding in South Australia.
Is this tax deductible?
- Purchasing biscuits isn’t tax deductible. However, donations to Girl Guides are tax deductible.To make a donation simply ring Guide House on 08 8418 0900 or send a cheque made payable to Girl Guides South Australia and you will receive a tax deductible receipt.
Where are they made?
- In New Zealand, by an Australian owned company called Griffins Foods .
Are they suitable for people with allergies?
- Guide biscuits are made in a factory that handles egg, sesame seeds, peanuts, other nuts and milk products, so they may not suitable for people with these allergies.
Are they good for you?
- They taste great, but like any biscuits they should be an occasional treat as part of your active healthy lifestyle.The biscuits don’t contain any artificial colours or flavours. For more information, look at the nutritional panel on the packet.
