We have taken inspiration from Kenya – a country famous for safaris – in order to design a program which will be exciting, challenging and hands-on. CCUSA is looking for young Australians who are ready for an exciting international working experience of a lifetime. CCSA is currently recruiting for the Camp Counselors USA program, and needs young Australians who display strong leadership skills, experience in the outdoors and are interested in meeting new people, stepping outside their comfort zones, and working with children.
It is for this reason that the partnership between Girl Guides Australia and CCUSA has been established. There are currently hundreds of American Girl Scouts summer camps across the United States that need to be staffed by enthusiastic international staff, which can provide our Australian Girl Guides with a valuable overseas working experience.
The Camp Counselors USA program allows people over the age of 18 (normally 18-35) to travel to the USA to work as an activity leader in a children’s Summer Camp from June-August. Activities at camps include sports, waterfront activities, performing arts, creative arts and outdoor education.
This cultural work exchange program includes up to US$2205 pocket money, free food and accommodation, US Visa Sponsorship, US Government approved travel insurance, 24hour toll free assistance, discounted airfares and a fully supported, safe work and travel experience.
