Police Check
We are a Child Safe, Child Friendly organisation. All of our Leaders must undertake Police Checks and Mandatory Notification training.

November 2009 - IMPORTANT CHANGES!
The SAPOL Police check has now been replaced with the National Police Certificate and is compulsory for all volunteers for Girl Guides South Australia who work with children.
Application forms are available from the SAPOL website www.police.sa.gov.au
NPC Changes - Effective Monday, 9 November 2009
The new PD267 application form has been rebadged as a National Criminal History Record Check Application Form and redesigned to meet scanner Optical Character Recognition (OCR) requirements.
- Applicants are encouraged to complete an online form rather than hardcopy form, and then attend a police station with the completed form and 100 Point Identification as per the current NPC process. Once signed from the Police station, you are required to lodge these forms with Gude House who will then apply the correct VOAN information and forward through to SAPOL.
- Applicants are required to present original 100 Point ID documentation and a photocopy of these documents for certification and lodgement with the PD267.
- Certificates will only be released to the applicant. There will no longer be an option to nominate a third party to receive the certificate on their behalf. Guide house staff still requires to sight your original Certificate once it is returned to you.
- This new system will give applicants the opportunity to review the information for accuracy and also provide a greater level of protection to an individual's privacy.
If you have any queries, please contact the staff at Guide House or SAPOL.
