Join leaders from around Australia in a free introductory session for leaders and managers new to guiding.
This webinar forms part of the ALQP Leadership Qualification training requirement – modules ‘Being part of Guiding’ and ‘Being part of guiding in Australia’, and part of the Management Qualification training – ‘Being involved with Guide Units’.
A certificate of completion will be emailed to participants.

Come along to our water activities centre and learn or practice your kayaking skills. We need trained adults to help guides get on the water, and this day will build your boating experience.
This is the training day for a Glenelg River kayaking and lightweight camping expedition on the 19th – 21st January 2018.
It is also a chance to learn good paddling technique and some safety skills on the water for those that are new(ish) to kayaking.
Adult participants: First in best dressed! Maximum of 8 adults, as there will also be Guides present.
Closing date: for online registration is midnight on 11 November 2017 and the fee is a minimal $20 for day use of GTS Dolphin and boats – instruction supplied free – log on to MyGGSA and Register Myself, then proceed to checkout and ensure you submit order to pay and complete the booking.

Who can come? SA Girl Guides aged 10 – 17 years who can swim 50 metres in their clothes. Numbers are limited.

Wear boating clothing. Use of boats and equipment included.
To pay and register, logon to MyGGSA, select Register Myself, select Guide or Leader, proceed to checkout and submit order.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Where an applicant notifies Girl Guides South Australia before the closing date, all monies will be refunded.
- Where an applicant notfies Girl Guides South Australia between the closing date and 7 days prior to the training/event a refund of 50% of the training/event fee will be considered upon written application to the appropriate State Manager.
- Where an applicant notifies Girl Guides South Australia in the 7 days prior to a training/event no refund will be made.
- Where a training/event is cancelled by Girl Guides South Australia, all monies will be refunded.
